The Fountain Inn History Museum, in partnership with the City of Fountain Inn, is proud to sponsor the Veterans Inn Our Town Banner Project. Each November, the City's Public Works Department will hang banners along the downtown streets of Fountain Inn, honoring veterans who have served our nation.
This year's sponsorship of a banner will be different compared to past years. This year's banners will be placed on Depot Street, near the Museum / Chamber of Commerce and Commerce Park for the first year. After that, they will be placed on Main Street for three years. The cost, for 4 years total, is $250 (with a tax-deductible donation of $100). These banners will grace the downtown area for approximately two weeks in November until 2026, after which the banner will be retired and given to the sponsor.
For a chance to sponsor a banner, for a family member, friend or employee who has served as far back as WWI to someone currently on active duty, please fill out our online lottery form.
The tax-deductible donation to the Fountain Inn History Museum can be paid by check, cash or credit card.
Banner Cost: $250. Limited availability. Only one banner per veteran.
Veterans Inn Our Town will also accept donations to go towards the cost of banners for those service members who were killed in the line of duty.
Banners are 18 in x 40 in and will be placed in the heart of downtown, first in the Commerce Park area and then along Main St for the following three years.
Due to overwhelming demand, the Museum will hold a lottery on September 1st for those interested in sponsoring a banner for 2023 - 2026. Those whose names are drawn will be contacted directly.
