Ezell Sullivan, a Fountain Inn native, was drafted into the United States Army in November, 1969. He was stationed at Fort Jackson, Columbia, SC. His basic training was at Fort Gordon, Georgia and he later returned to Fort Jackson.
In August 1970, Ezell was deployed to Vietnam on a one year assignment. While there, he served as a Security Police Officer. He returned to the United States in August, 1971, with an Honorable Discharge from service.
After returning home to the US, Ezell continued a career in Law Enforcement. He was employed with the South Carolina State Probation Parole and Pardon Services and retired after twenty-five years of service.
Ezell is the son of the late John Robert and Terather Shell Sullivan. His siblings are: Emanuel, Sadie and Betty.
Ezell married his high school sweetheart, Linda Jones. They reside in Mauldin, SC. They have three lovely adult children; Latarsha, Nanyamka, (Jerome), Marques and one beautiful granddaughter, Jakeya.
Ezell enjoys watching sports and spending time with his family.
